In September 2020, the Federal Office for the Environment of Switzerland has approved to amend the Chemical Risk Reduction Ordinance (SR 814.81, ORRChem) by adding prohibition of the chemicals listed in Annex XIV of the EU¡¯s REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The amendment has already entered into force on 1 November 2020.
The following substances shall be added to Annex 1.17 of SR 814.81. It shall be prohibited to place on the market for use of the substances or preparations containing such substances, or to use them on a professional or commercial basis after the respective transition period ends.
